    Flames broke out around midnight at a house in the 9200 block of Windy Crest Drive. Rescuers discovered the bodies of attorney Romina Mulloy-Levine, her husband Michael Levine, and their five-year-old son Ariel in an upstairs bedroom.

    The Dallas Police Department is losing its leader. On Wednesday evening, Chief David Kunkle confirmed that he is planning to retire. Kunkle will be stepping down from his position on April 30, 2010.

    A 36-year-old Tarrant County woman has been arrested for tampering with evidence in the case of skeletal remains found in a trailer park. Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson says the woman is the mother of the dead children.

    More than 100 animals have been rescued from a rescue shelter. Dallas Animal Services workers found themselves rescuing the animals from the shelter Thursday in the 3000 block of Canton in Deep Ellum.
